The hottest dance craze from the Dominican Republic, Bachata is a steamy sensuous dance that is taking the nation by storm. Here is your chance to learn and develop one of the most Sensual, Sexy and Fun Latin dances!! Bachata is a form of music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic, and today Bachata is as popular as Salsa and Merengue around the globe.
The character of the dance is achieved through sensual hip and body movements.
The dance is a four-step beat achieved with cuban hip motion, and a unique "pop" in the hip. Bachata music has a slight accent in rhythm at every fourth count, indicating when the "pop" should happen. The pop will always be done in he opposite direction of the last step, while the next step will be taken on the same direction of the pop.
